Since my husband is out of the state on business I have to keep the kids busy. We had fun raking our neighbors leaves. Kids thought it was fun since they could jump in the leaves afterwards!

Her daughter died of cancer and her son does not come and see her. so she is really lonely and cant do for herself. i sent my son bring her groceries. i went to her house the day before she had nothing in the fridge and two cans of soup in the pantry that was it. so my son goes watch movies with her. he told me mom go and look in her fridge she had nothing. when we left her house my son asked me mom can we go get her some cookies and popcorn. that is what i usally send with him to watch the movie. me and my kids went and make her a grociery bill we bought her milk, bread, sandwhich meat ect. she was so happy when my kids brought it to her she called me she could not believe that we had done that. i told her that was my youngest sons idea..

My neighbor had to move in with her daughter due to health problems. She had severe heart trauma and is now unable to move about or basically do anything, so navigating a new town and finding new friends has been very difficult. She left a voicemail for me in a voice that sounded very sad, called back and realized how lonely you can be even when you are surrounded by family. An hour later we were still chatting and I had taught her how to webchat. We set an "appt time" to talk each week. It was only a call but I cound hear the smile in her voice and I know she knows she still has a friend.

I heard a family was having a hard time, just got back on their feet and are able to rent a place but have no furniture. I am giving them two entertainment centers, and a recliner.

A close friend of mine had surgery on her back and needs some extra help while her husband is at work. I will be going over every day to help her change her bandages and bring her some dinner for her family.

There are a lot of families who won't get to have the fabulous Thanksgiving meal that we all look forward to. We donated some non-perishable food to the Utah Food Bank.

I was going to the church the other day and saw a girl in the middle of the intersection; in a snow storm; with ALL other cars driving right past, she was getting back in her car and i wondered what she was doing. so we knocked on her window and asked if she needed help. she had run out of gas and needed a little push. so we got out of the car, in our church clothes and in the middle of a snow storm, and gave her a push to the side of the road out of harms way, into a safe parking spot. she was very appreciative :)

I work at a Credit Union and we usually do a food drive at our staff holiday party. This year we decided to choose a family in need from our own membership and provide for them this holiday. Staff submitted names of those they felt need help and then a family was chosen. We will collect cash and then go shopping for them or donate a needed item.
